My grandchildren are forever building dens with chairs and blankets, so I was delighted when I was offered the EZ-Fort bunker from Prezzybox to review. The bunker arrived in a sturdy cardboard storage case and consists of 20 x 24″ yellow Polycarbonate tubes, 14 x 17″ green tubes, 20 Polypropylene connecting spheres, a tarp cover and an instruction leaflet. My 2 year old grandson, Oliver, opened the box and immediately started slotting the tubes into the spheres and building his own den (the EZ Fort –The Bunker is recommended for ages 3 years +). The pieces fitted easily together and are ideal for encouraging imaginative play.

I was extremely impressed with this toy. Oliver was kept busy for hours, constructing one bunker, demolishing it and then building something else entirely different. First of all we made the bunker inside, then took the tubes and spheres outside and carried on building in the garden. When his 6 year old sister, Heidi, arrived, they acted as a team, happily playing together building another den. It is a very safe toy as there are no sharp corners or small pieces which can cause a choking hazard. It is lovely to have a simple, well made toy which doesn’t require batteries and will encourage the children to use their imagination whilst having fun. It develops hand eye co-ordination and gives the child a great sense of achievement when they see the end result.

I would certainly recommend this toy for a variety of ages. It can be used by a single child or by a group of children and I would give it a score of 5 out of 5.
