As a mum of 3 I’ve been through a fair amount of maternity and nursing clothes over the years so I was very excited to receive the Everything Dress to review. The dress arrived in a lovely black bag which is a great size and comes in very handy to store babies’ clothes in the changing bag now that the dress is hung up in my wardrobe.

The dress sizes range from xxs to xxl and all allow room for your bump to grow. The dress I received was a size medium which has a length of 96.5cm and waist from 79cm to 94cm. This was a great fit for my size and I was surprised to find the length was perfect for me. As I am only 5”2 I generally have to get most long dresses taken up as they tend to be too long. The length does increase to 101.5cm in large, X large and XX large so if you are taller it might be worth looking at the larger sizes.

The dress can be used as a maternity or nursing dress so they are well worth the money for how long you can use them for. The fabric is very soft and feels great against your skin and washes really well. It has a built-in camisole which is very soft but I felt it didn’t offer me enough support, as I have a larger bust, and I chose to continue wearing my bra underneath. One of the things that I love about this dress is the fact it is made from 44% recycled polyester. As a family we are trying to cut our waste and recycle where we can so this was a big thumbs up for me.

The dress is specifically designed to have a half-moon skirt which means during your pregnancy it won’t ride up as your bump grows. Unlike previous maternity/nursing dresses I have tried I found that the Everything Dress sat perfectly after baby was born and still flattered my figure.

Although I found this dress comfortable and a great fit, I didn’t find it comfortable to nurse in. The dress has a double camisole at the top for access to nurse, however as I am busty, I found it quite difficult to feed without feeling exposed. The material is very soft and easy to move but I found the elastic band sat on at the top of my breast whilst feeding and caused extra pressure on my breast which made my milk flow quicker. This meant that at the end of this feed I was quite wet and baby needed a change of clothes. I soon learnt that if I kept the elastic lifted off my breast then I found this rectified the problem however it did make me feel exposed and without a free hand. If I could change one thing to make feeding easier, I would add in either a clip or a slit in the inner camisole to make it more accessible. Also, if the elastic band on the outer part of the camisole was a loose fit, I may not have felt so exposed when feeding.

Overall I would recommend this dress for during maternity as it is very comfy and expands as your bump grows but if you do have a larger chest I wouldn’t recommend this for nursing.
