I was gifted a tasting box of 3 canned cocktails by be. First look, the cans are super sleek, with a simple, yet effective design, and they have a lovely texture which feels like an odd thing to say about a can, but it shows they really care about their product. Having worked in the cocktail bar industry for a number of years now, I’ve always been dubious about canned cocktails. These are nitro-infused and it made me so excited to try them, because I just knew they’d have that silky smooth mouthfeel that is always missing in a can versus a freshly made cocktail.
The tasting box contains a Strawberry Daiquiri, a Passion Fruit Martini, and a Pina Colada. I opted for the Strawberry Daiquiri first, expecting little more than an overwhelmingly sweet juice. Wow, was I wrong. Honestly, that first sip was so smooth, so flavourful, and it just tasted like a freshly made cocktail. The nitro-infusion makes a huge impact on the mouthfeel of the drink. I could taste the rum, the strawberry, the lime, all perfectly balanced in this lovely little can. I poured it out into a glass, popped a slice of lime on the rim, and treated myself to a proper cocktail in the comfort of my own living room. The Pina Colada and the Passion Fruit Martini were no different – both packed full of flavour, feeling velvety smooth, and even looking the part. Perfect for this beautiful summer weather we have at the moment – could easily take these anywhere with you to enjoy a beautiful cocktail.
These have an alcohol by volume of 8.4% so they definitely have a kick, especially in comparison to other pre-mixed drinks which tend to sit around the 4% mark. These are fantastic for at home drinks with friends or family, to take on an outing, or even to gift to someone! The taster box is only £9.99, which is presented beautifully, for 3x 200ml cans of the flavours I received.
The team at be. have made a fantastic product here and I would urge you all to give it a go if you’re a fan of cocktails. Treat yourself or someone else to some high quality cocktails to enjoy in your own setting! As well as the Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Colada, and Passion Fruit Martini, they also have Paloma and Margarita available to order, which I am adding to my basket right now!
I would rate at a 5/5 – cannot get over how great they taste for a canned cocktail compared to freshly made cocktails!
