Chuckit! Max Glow Dog Toy Review

We recently received a dog ball to try out from a company called Chuckit! Toys. Now, this wasn’t just any ordinary ball… It was a glow in the dark ball! The name of the product is the Max Glow ball, and it is deceptively simple. The Max Glow ball is available in small, medium, large and extra-large; as the owners of two 40+kg doggies, we were sent the large which was the perfect size for them. The ball is made of durable rubber and has a hollow centre, which means it is squishy and very VERY bouncy.
The packaging says it just needs around 5 minutes of daylight to make the ball glow, which I was dubious about, but it was true! The ball really glowed too, meaning you can take the game outside in the dark and carry on playing. As a Christmas gift this would be perfect for any dog owner, as it would really help adding playtime on those dark days and nights. If you’re stuck with what to get your favourite dog owner in your life, you can’t go far wrong with this ball! If you like giving your doggy a stocking on Christmas morning, again this would be great addition for any pooch to keep them well entertained.
The ball was the perfect size for my dog’s mouth, and because it was so bouncy I could chuck it a fair way to make him chase it. The durable rubber means that the ball can be chewed and not destroyed and believe me my dogs are experts in chewing up “durable” toys! This one actually IS durable!
My dog loves any sort of ball really, but I’ve lost count of the number of tennis balls we’ve gone through that either get lost or chewed up beyond all recognition; these balls actually help you to find them in the dark, and resist being chewed up – what more could you ask for! The hollow nature of the ball actually means you could probably put treats in there (although it doesn’t mention that as an option) as there are holes in each side which would make it accessible to your dog to try and get the treats out.
The Chuckit! balls are also compatible with ball launchers, just to help you chuck it that much further. Sadly, we don’t have a launcher, but I can easily see how much more you could get out of such a simple but brilliantly designed toy.

I would highly recommend these fun toys to any dogs and their owners to add an extra element of interest into your games and take fetch to the next level, and particularly as a quick and easy Christmas gift for any dog lover.
