I was pleased to be given the opportunity to review the GRACO Revaya ™ Travel System/Quick-fold Pushchair & Car Seat as my eighth grandchild arrived 9 weeks ago and after a seven-year gap I was interested to see if pushchairs and car seats had changed.

The Compact Reaya ™travel system has the quick fold pushchair and also includes the cosy and secure SnugLite ™ Eco i-size R129 infant car seat. It arrived in a very sturdy box and was really easy to take out without too much unnecessary packaging but enough to make sure it wasn’t damaged in transit.

The company GRACO was founded in 1942 as Graco Metal Products. In 1955 engineer Rex Thomas, in collaboration with another GRACO engineer David Saint, designed the company’s first baby product, Swyngomatic, an automatic baby swing. This was after watching his wife use a piece of string to rock their baby in his swing, which kept him entertained and quiet but restricted his wife as she couldn’t move away. They thought they would sell approximately 10,000 products but went on to sell millions! 1998 saw the launch of the world’s first travel system, allowing parents to connect an infant car seat to a pushchair with one simple click. They now have lots of different systems and products available.
I was very pleased to find a comprehensive manual inside the box that had visual instructions as well as written ones. I also found good visual information on https://gracobaby.eu plus lots of information on this system and others they have available.

Information and features on both the pushchair and car seat:
• Reversible handle: flips from front facing to rear facing, allowing bonding time or opportunities for exploring their world
• One-handed stand-alone gravity fold system: so, no bending down to fold up the pushchair or awkward button pressing, the pushchair then stands up making storing it really easy both at home and in restaurants’/cafes etc
• Suitable from birth to approximately 4 years old (max 22 Kg)
• Infant car seat suitable from 40 to 75 cm (birth to approximately 12 months)
• Pushchair is 47 cm wide: I found it fitted through all doorways, through clothes rails in shops and went past (with ease) cars that were parked on the side.
• Large storage basket: always useful for carrying everything your child may need plus ample room for shopping.
• Removable front bar: this was padded in fabric (washable) so very comfortable for your little one
• Integrated folding lock: this keeps the pushchair secure when it is neatly packed away by not allowing it to open
• Lie flat 4- position recline: the pushchair inclines to flat making it suitable for babies and includes a plush memory foam new baby insert
• Breathable mesh side panels
• 2-position calf support
• Smooth touch 3-or 5- point harness
• UPF 50+ canopy
• Included accessories:
Rain cover
Harness cover
Head support
• SnugLite™Eco-Size R129 car seat: this is compatible with the SnugTurn i-Size R129 rotating ISOFIX base and SnugLite i-Size R129 ISOFIX base but can also be installed in your car using the vehicles seat belts
It also has Safety Surround™Side Impact Protection which wraps around your baby/infant for added protection.

The car seat has a 3-point harness that adjusts using one hand and is very light and portable.

All the above information is brilliant when you are looking for a good, reliable, lightweight travel system for your little one, but did it deliver on everything?

Yes, it did!

As soon as I opened it, I liked it, it was described as midnight blue in colour which had a rich look to it and looked more black than blue. It was very light (but not flimsy) to carry and use, the baby was comfortable in both the pushchair and car seat (sleeping most of the time).
I found the pushchair very easy to open and close and especially liked the one-hand gravity fold. The car seat fits onto the pushchair and again the instructions were easy to follow and it felt safe and secure, however I don’t think I will use this combination when the baby is moving more as the pushchair on its own is comfortable and safe. Also, it’s not advised keeping little ones in car seats to long. Both the pushchair and car seat are made of washable material and I can attest to this working after using a damp cloth to clean away baby sick a number of times!

I liked nearly everything about this travel system with just one tiny criticism and that was the hood on the car seat could not be put down however it was easy to remove so it was not really a problem.
