Brett N Holmes was born in Leeds with a rare health condition, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. His writing has been inspired by both film, and literature. He lives in West Yorkshire with his wife and three cats. Brett loves cooking- whether it’s around the dining table or the bbq, spending time with the family is important.
Brett explains: “My deep love for Greek mythology, alongside my concern for the way we’re treating our planet, inspired the themes of the story. When reading around this area I was struck by the lack of female heroes in many middle-grade adventure stories, and George was perhaps partially inspired by this – although I also feel she arrived fully formed and ready to tell me how she saved the world!
This book weaves the stories from mythology into a present day adventure whilst offering the reader a different point of view on some familiar names from mythology.”
