My mum is a huge fan of wearing a watch as jewellery and likes to change it regularly according to what she is wearing, so I was very happy to review one of the TOFF LONDON watches for Mother’s Day. TOFF LONDON is a family company based in London and to be honest I hadn’t really heard of them, so I took the time to browse the website whilst waiting for the watch to arrive. I was very surprised to see 393 different watches on their site, split into ten collections. The collections pretty much cover every interest you may have including, animal, darts, cars, city, floral, pride & poker plus a set of traditional watches for those with plainer tastes. There are two basic designs, a metal dial type watch with metal strap and a plain round face with a leather strap where it’s the chosen pattern that elevates the design of the watch face beyond others I have seen.
A couple of days later the watch arrived in a simple white cardboard box with black TOFF LONDON branding. Inside it was protected with a sleeve of bubble wrap, I must admit I was expecting slightly more upmarket packaging for the price point, but once unwrapped the watch did not disappoint. I was sent the red and grey hearts watch which is part of the Mother’s Day collection and the large face and sophisticated design really hit the spot. The watch comes with quite a degree of personalisation, you can choose the case colour, silver, gold or rose gold, the strap colour, from a range of 9 different colours and the size of the face, 38 or 42mm. On top of all that you can also have it engraved on the rear, completely free of charge, with a total of 27 characters plus a date of your choice.
I was able to choose the strap before the watch was sent so I was really pleased to see the grey I chose was a lovely silvery grey that matched the colour of the grey heart on the design. The watch is simple yet elegant, a stainless-steel back with a rose gold metal face, watch hands & buckle and genuine leather strap which complements the white face with red and grey design. The larger red heart is shaded like paint strokes and the smaller heart is a solid light grey, it would look good with pretty much any outfit. I have a small wrist, as does my mum, and can struggle with getting straps to fit but this one has plenty of holes and fitted me snugly. The back of the watch states the watch is 3ATM Water Resistant, which means is splash proof and not waterproof, so perfect for everyday use but not swimming or diving, its definitely more of a dress watch with wow factor depending on the design you choose.
Having not known the brand before I would now highly recommend it, the watches are great quality with a number of unique designs. Visually there is something for everything on the TOFF LONDON website and with most priced at £49.99, including free engraving and delivery, I think they are very good value for money. If you are looking for the perfect gift whether it be Mother’s day, Father’s day or a birthday you will not be disappointed with a watch from TOFF LONDON.
