Aldi’s Feed Your Family For £70 Food Challenge Review

Reviewed by CB

I set myself a target to get as far through the month as possible with a budget of £70 for food shopping.  My local ALDI store is in a convenient location, ten minutes from my house. The store is clean and tidy with well laid out products. What struck me at first was the sheer variety of goods available and how amazing the prices were. Because I work full time, I tend to stick to convenience food.

During the month, I did a few shops. Some items are mentioned below:

Bottles of cider
Chilled lasagne
Small bottles of water
Nut biscuits
Dog food
Cheese
tomatoes
Bread
Milk
Pizza
Oven chips
Garlic bread
Yoghurts
Cans of diet coke
Cans of soft drink

I got about 3 weeks into the month before the £70 I had allocated ran out – just over £23 per week!

For a single professional working full time, this is fantastic. The food is top quality and tastes delicious. Portion sizes are generous. I save so much money shopping at ALDI.

Another thing I wanted to mention is what a fantastic variety of Specialbuys are available.

Rating: 5/5
