I have been aware of children’s brand Blade and Rose for some time, my eldest daughter who is 6 now had a number of their items when she was a baby, many of which have been passed on to my youngest (who has just turned 1) I was always really pleased by the design and quality so I was happy to be able to try a new item from their range, bring on the cuteness!

I was sent the Fifi the Fawn top to review and oh my goodness it is adorable! Definite Bambi vibes. It’s a long sleeved t shirt in off white with a appliqué Fawn and embroidered foliage.

It’s made from 95% cotton and 5% elastic so has a little stretch which is necessary when dressing a uncooperative baby, the fabric feels thick and good quality. There are also poppers at the neck to make dressing a little easier.

It is evident that Blade and Rose are a eco friendly company as all their packaging was 100% recyclable which is always nice to see.

The neutral colours make it the ideal gift for little girls or boys and will go with most leggings/trousers we already have. Having said that the Fifi the Fawn leggings are just too cute to not have, we need them now!

The top comes in sizes 0-6 months up to 3-4 years. We were sent size 1-2 years, I thought that the sizing was unusual as usually the are in the 6 month increments at this age 12-18months, because of this the top was a little big on my 1 year old, particularly the arms, but nothing a folded sleeve couldn’t fix, I like the added touch of the contrasting colour on the inside of the cuff.

There are other matching Fifi the Fawn items available- socks, a hoodie and of course those much coveted leggings with the Blade and Rose signature picture on the bottom. I am confident in the quality of their items, as previously mentioned we have been re-using their items from my eldest and their is still plenty of life left in them.

I popped the top in the washing machine at 30 degrees and it washed well, it was good as new and ready to go again.

The top can be purchased for £14.99 which seems expensive when compared to other retailers for a baby top, but the quality is excellent and as the sizing is for a longer range we should hopefully get a lot of wear out of it. I would definitely recommend this top and the brand to other parents or people looking to buy baby gifts.

This would make the perfect spring time Easter present for a little one, which can be hard to find as everything seems to be chocolate related.

I had a peek at the website and I want to dress my baby in all their adorable designs, cute as well as comfortable.
