I was really excited to receive this beautifully presented set through the post today. The packaging immediately stood out — sleek, modern, luxurious and clearly designed to reflect Jack Mead’s signature style. It felt premium from the moment I picked it up and I think it would make an excellent gift. The Signature Set’s champagne coloured tube looked stylish with two branded stickers keeping the tube secure. It was so secure however that I had trouble actually opening the set.

The box highlights that this is a curated signature set, which made me even more eager to explore what was included to use it. Having never used rollers before, I was eager to see how much volume I could actually get into my hair.

Opening the package, everything was neatly arranged, giving the whole set a very professional feel. The Signature Set features the Unity Rollers and a separate package for The Little Black Brush, make this a bundle with to “creating smooth, voluminous, healthy looking hair with ease.”

The Signature Unity Rollers feel luxurious and you can definitely feel the quality in comparison to some of the cheaper alternatives in the shops. They feel sturdy without being too heavy despite having an aluminium core, which comes in handy when using heat. Also in the bag was a peach drawstring dust bag. It was a perfect size for keeping everything together but unfortunately mine had marks on the bag so it made it look and feel less opulent. The set also included 6 colour coded styling clips which held the Rollers in place. Once the rollers were in and secured, I was able to move my head around and the Rollers stayed where they were supposed to.

I’m usually someone who dives straight into using a product without reading the instructions, but as someone who has never used this type of curlers before, it would have been good to have included a few instructions or at least care guidelines on how to clean the rollers, look after them and get the best out of them for the future, or a QR code in or on the packaging to point you in the right direction.

The Rollers were easy to work and together with the brush, my hair was in rollers in no time. The Little Black Brush was brilliant. It’s small but perfect for going into your handbag in its protective pouch. There are two types of bristles on the brush and it stopped my hair from going static and flyaway. The Velcro style shell of the rollers was perfect for keeping my hair in place, but once I got the hang of removing them, my hair had so much volume! The results were noticeable — my hair was given more volume and styled with ease.

Overall, I was very impressed with Jack’s Signature Set. The packaging was sleek, the products felt premium, and the performance lived up to expectations. It’s a stylish, modern grooming set that delivers on quality and experience. There were however a couple of points that made me feel the price was a bit on the high side. Yes the rollers themselves felt and were high quality, but my bag for the rollers was damaged, the storage bag for the brush, in my opinion, should have matched the bag for the rollers, and the presentation box for the Brush was not on par with that of the rollers. If I was buying this as a gift, I’d feel like the Brush was an afterthought and not something as part of a signature set.
