The BAO Christmas Bath Time Hero’s gift set exudes luxury. From the moment I took it out of the plain brown paper wrapper, everything about it just felt so special. The gorgeous sleek white cardboard presentation box was even wrapped in tissue paper with the BAO logo and sealed with a BAO sticker. Inside the box the products were nestled in shredded paper and topped with a card saying Merry Christmas. I was delighted that all the packaging is completely recyclable which is very important in the current climate.
BAO (Beth’s Aromatherapy Organic) pronounced Bayo manufacture their products in Dorset. The creation of one lady with a passion for organic skincare, the BAO website says Beth has over 15 years experience in the beauty industry and she has been in love with natural skin care for as long as she can remember. I was fascinated to read Beth’s story. It was good to learn about the person behind the brand and be able to find out about the her ethos, the ingredients used and the vision.
The Christmas Bath Time Hero’s set is comprised of 4 spa style products:
Healing Bath Salts 300g

The Healing Bath Salts are packed in an aluminium pouch with a plastic liner which is fully recyclable. Made from a mixture of Himalayan and Epsom salts and fragranced with geranium, sweet orange and ylang ylang. These salts quickly dispersed in the bathwater and filled the whole bathroom with their gorgeous perfume. It was so relaxing to lie back, breath in and soak. Contains magnesium, calcium and iodine which can help to relieve itchy skin caused by eczema and psoriasis.
The Luminosity Body Scrub is also packaged in a recyclable aluminium pouch. Made from cane sugar, coconut and cocoa seed butter and fragranced with sweet almond, apricot, grapefruit and mandarin oils. The texture is quite course which I found to be really good at invigorating and exfoliating my whole body. It worked especially well on my elbows, knees and ankles. This product left my skin feeling amazingly smooth and soft and it easily rinsed away after use.
The Healing Bath & Body Oil is in a refillable glass bottle with a plastic pump. A blend of several oils including apricot, sweet almond, jojoba, pomegranate, sweet orange, geranium, lavender and ylang ylang. This is a two in one product which can be used either as a bath oil or applied direct to the skin. I tried it by smoothing onto my skin. It was easily absorbed and although it is an oil did not leave my skin feeling greasy at all.
The Nourish Urself Balm comes in a glass jar with an aluminium lid. Made from Shea butter, baobab oil, coconut butter, berry wax, jojoba, rose hip camellia and geranium oil. This is a thick buttery moisturising facial product. I warmed a small blob in my hands to melt it and it then smoothed easily over my face and neck. It can be used as a treatment and rinsed off with a damp cloth, or left on over night. Either way my skin was left feeling extremely soft and calmed.
All the BAO products have a gentle formula which is vegan and natural and is suitable for all skin types. Truly a luxury experience and thoroughly recommended for that special lady.
