My First Scooter
We recently received a pink My First Scooter for our 2½ year old. This is the perfect scooter for introducing youngsters to scooters due to the fact that you can assemble it with up to 4 wheels.
When opening the box we realised that there is some assembly required – the wheels and handle bar need fitting. Detailed instructions with pictures of all the parts and bolts are included as well as tools so was ready to go in 10 minutes.
As our daughter had never before used a scooter we assembled it with the four wheels, 2 front and 2 rear, to give it much more stability while she is learning to use it. She loves how colourful it is, bright pink with yellow wheels!
We decided to take her to the park to use is and get her some elbow and knee pads as well as a helmet to keep her safe as we expected lots of falling off. Because of the 4 wheel stability she hasn’t yet fallen off but better to have the safety gear than not.
She is loving her new scooter and every time we go out she wants to take it with her.
Overall, this is a wonderful beginner’s scooter. Our daughter is still using it on 4 wheels but as she gets more confident it is very easy to drop down to 3 wheels and then finally 2 so is a great introduction and training scooter for when she gets bigger and needs a bigger one. It is small, sturdy and a reasonable weight to can go anywhere with us and folds up very easily to put away or take in the car.
We highly recommend this scooter for introducing your children to scooters, it’s stable and sturdy and gets them playing out in the garden and getting fresh air. With a RRP of £20 we think it is excellent value for money due to the versatility of the wheel changes.
