The Personalised Queen of the Kitchen Apron from Prezzybox arrived carefully packed in a bubble envelope and was folded so as to display the personalisation as soon as the apron was removed from the pack. It’s quite a novelty to see my name written on something like this as it’s quite unusual so this was a welcome treat (can be personalised with up to 20 characters).
As someone who loves to bake I spend a lot of time wearing an apron and so I was able to try it out the very next day whilst baking and decorating a 2 tier cream cake. This meant that the apron was worn for most of the day and got rather messy which I thought was a good functional test.
The apron doesn’t have a care label in it giving details of composition and washing recommendations but it looks and feels as though it’s made of undyed cotton and is soft to touch. It’s quite thin cotton which makes it ideal for spending time in a hot kitchen. The personalisation is large and very well printed. The straps to tie it are the right length and it didn’t gape around the neck which I find many aprons do. There’s no front pocket but I often find those unflattering and I rarely use them anyway.
The Queen of the Kitchen apron was comfortable to wear for the whole day and provided sufficient coverage to prevent my clothes getting dirty. It stood up well to having my hands wiped on it as even though it is quite thin, cotton is naturally absorbent. I washed it at 40 degrees and naturally dried it.
This is a nice apron, a girl can never have too many aprons but everyone who has seen me wearing it has laughed and commented upon it, my daughter is delighted too as this makes her the Princess of the Kitchen so we shall continue to enjoy its charms.
