Personalised Mini Stocking Review

Reviewed by Amanda Hayes

Christmas is coming up fast and with my son being only 3 weeks off 2 years old this Christmas I am starting to think about it in earnest. I was glad to be reviewing the mini stocking, but not altogether sure what to expect by the word mini. You can have the stockings personalised and I chose to have the words “Ethan Xmas 2014” on mine. This was really easy to sort out by a single email and simply choosing from a choice of fonts.

The stocking arrived only a few days later in a normal letter size envelope and is of the size of a standard Christmas tree decoration. When I took it out I was pleased to see a nicely made item.

The top of the stocking is permanently closed so you can’t fill it with anything but it will look pretty on the tree, however you would probably benefit from purchasing 3 or four to make an impact.

The stocking is in a traditional Christmas style, red and white felt with a gingham loop to attach to the tree, this is held on by a little red button. My three chosen words were neatly stitched on, I would have preferred the year 2014 to be centred below Ethan Xmas and not just under Xmas, but that’s just my personal preference.

I would have liked to have known about these stockings last year as I think they would make a great first Christmas keepsake, either for your own child or as a gift. I also thought they would look nice strung together as bunting, you could have several family member names on or a Christmas message.

If you like traditional Christmas decorations, and I do, the personalised mini stockings make a lovely addition to the tree and I will be hanging mine right on the front and keeping it for many years to come.
