Botanics Bamboo Face Cloth Review

Reviewed by Louise Totton

I can be really bad for not taking my make up off before I got to bed, for several reasons (other than general laziness). The first is that I’m allergic to something that is in virtually all makeup wipes an baby wipes; I have no idea what it is, but it makes my face itch and blotchy. So hypoallergenic soap and water is required. But I find that using facecloths on my skin can be scratchy and irritating – I also can’t use fabric softeners for the same reason as the wipes. So I was really interested to be asked to try and review the Botanics Bamboo Face Cloth.

On first impressions, it was simply packaged, without lots of excess plastic packaging that I find really irritating. When I unravelled the facecloth, I found that it was a good size and the fabric felt lovely and soft. Not fluffy like towel facecloths can be when new, but lovely and naturally soft.

I used it on my face with my hypoallergenic face wash, and it was great. It stayed lovely and soft whilst wet and didn’t scratch or irritate my skin at all. As instructed. I rinsed it well and air dried it before using it again, and once wet, it returned to the soft and gentle state it was before.

I really liked the Botanics face cloth. It was lovely and soft, and felt very luxurious on my face, and I’m hoping it will encourage me to take my make-up removal regime a little more seriously.

A great facecloth and very reasonable value at £3.
