As a Nanny to four gorgeous Grandchildren it’s never too early to start the Christmas Shopping.  The eldest is 11 years old and the youngest just two years.  You really do think when your own eldest is 33 years old, you have seen it all, and are beyond getting excited about toys.  Not me to be fair, and to be honest once I saw the Leap Frog Scoop & Learn Ice Cream Cart, I wasn’t sure I wanted to share with any of them :).

Neither me nor the lovely xxx (Editor’s note, name removed)  could think of anything more exciting than our own ice cream cart, and to be fair the two little boys were just as enthralled, because of course everyone loves ice cream.  It never ceases to surprise me of the innovative ways and ideas that toy manufacturers come up with.  This Leap Frog toy is just the most fun.

It comes ready for adult assembly consisting of some 20 pieces, however most good grandads make short shrift of the assembly and we are good to go.  I might add, the cart comes in pink or blue, although none of our little ones were in the slightest bit bothered.  It’s just fantastic, it comes with a magic ice cream scooper, 6 order cards, 3 ice cream cones, 8 scoops of ice cream and three toppings.  As Leap Frog say themselves, 22 ingredients for Learning Fun.  The only thing you will need is 3 AA batteries, cos a toy isn’t fun unless it’s making noise!

All children learn differently, and whilst I don’t condone sitting in front of a screen, I think interactive toys such as those made by Leap Frog do so much to encourage a child, not only with counting, colours, reading and so on, but with their imagination.  Whether an only child or with siblings the Scoop and Learn Ice Cream Cart helps a child in so many different ways.  Of course so many children love to role play, toys like this make learning so easy, they don’t even realise they are doing it.  xxx (editor’s note name removed) is always in charge of the boys, so they all obediently followed her instructions and were dutiful customers.  That’s said, she and them got as much enjoyment from playing with it on their own.  The smiles and giggles just warm your heart, and of course all the adults in their worlds can join in too.  It is for age two years and above, although everything looks safe enough for younger children to enjoy as well.

It most definitely helps with colours, numbers, counting, flavours, stacking and creativity.  Our little ones are 2 1/2 years and 3 1/2 years, and they had the best time with this.  All children learn at different paces and it’s most definitely helped in all sorts of areas, and they have all got something different from the toy.  It’s fab, as all the bits and pieces pack away inside the cart, which I have to say, they haven’t left if alone, so packing it away isn’t an option.  Might have even had a sneak play myself when they have all gone home.  We all absolutely love it, go treat your little ones today. Well done Leap Frog.
