One word, Wow! That’s all I need to say about the ecozone laundry stain remover, it certainly is tough on stains. My son competes in show jumping and annoyingly for a boy that can’t keep clean for five minutes, must wear white jodhpurs to competitions, which is seriously not a good combination. So, with those, his school shirts, and cricket whites, I have been looking for some decent laundry products to get his whites back to white without breaking the bank, having to use biological powder or very hot water. I was very keen to try out the ecozone range of laundry products which I had seen in other shops, but was not in my local supermarket, so was pleased to be offered some of the range to test out.
I received three products, a 2 litre bottle of ecozone concentrated non bio laundry liquid (rrp £10.89), a box of 48 ecozone power whitening pure oxygen tables (rrp £10.88) and a 250ml bottle of ecozone laundry stain remover (rrp £4.39). The packaging is very plain and simple, and I don’t think does the brand justice as not only is ecozone a British Company, its packed full of eco credentials which aren’t strongly highlighted on the box/bottle, they are there just on the side or rear not prominently displayed on the front. The products are Vegan, cruelty free and have plant based ingredients with no additives or harsh chemicals. Their boxes are 100% biodegradable, and the wrappings are plastic free.
The 2 litre laundry liquid does 50 washes for those in a soft water area, dropping to around 35 washes for those with hard water, heavy soiling, or those with a large washing machine capacity. I found it really easy to dispense, you just add one capful into the drawer and off you go. It has a light fragrance but nothing strong or heavy. I used this continuously until it ran out, instead of my normal liquid, and I found it to have very good results at both 30 and 40 degrees on whites and colours.
The ecozone power whitening pure oxygen tablets look like a plastic wrapped dishwasher tablet, but are actually chlorine free stain removing tablets wrapped in plastic free soluble wrapping. They are so easy to use, you don’t need to unwrap them, you just pop in the drum with your clothes or sheets etc, and that’s it. The school shirts definitely come up brighter and without that grey tinge that you get with constant washing. With 48 tablets in a box, they last a long time too.
The ecozone laundry stain remover is definitely going to be a must have in my utility room, I had a pair of my son’s white jodhpurs to wash this week that not only had a grass stain on but grease & oil from a towbar, and they now look brand new. The bottle has a brush nozzle built in and to apply just use the brush to work into the fabric, leave for 10 minutes, then wash as normal. It was that easy, no more soaking overnight or strong chemicals needed. These are common stains in our house, and I have tried loads of different products that haven’t worked half as well, so I’m very pleased to have found the ecozone option.
I found the ecozone laundry range to be great all round products and having looked on the website https://www.ecozonedirect.com, I have found dozens more cleaning products in their range that i didn’t know existed from drain cleaner to coffee machine cleaner, so it’s definitely worth a look for any household use you may have, especially as they are eco friendly and a sensible price.
