If you’re like me, you have a man in your life who you never know what gift to give at Christmas. My husband always tells me he has everything he wants, which is sweet, but not very helpful during the frantic run up to Christmas, so when it was suggested, I review this product, I was keen to see if this could answer my Christmas present dilemma. With male grooming being popular with all generations I was confident this was a gift idea that would be really well received.
The style master arrived, quickly in just a few days and well packaged. The outer packaging looked a little more high end than your average Gillette product and is a collaboration between the Gillette brand and Braun, two very well-known and trusted brands. The style master is part of the King C. Gillette brand, which seems to be the higher end products.

On unboxing the stye master, we found it came with three guard attachments which are interchangeable for use with different length facial hair. The style master is a comfortable weight, it feels sturdy, but not too heavy and the rubber handle is easy to grip and ergonomically, making it comfortable to use. The only downside is that the trimmer doesn’t come with a storage box/case. This would be great to keep all the bits and pieces together, and for when travelling but it doesn’t really detract from the trimmer.
The interchangeable guards are easy to change, allowing you to style your facial hair according to your preference, between 1-5mm. With no guard on, you can create a clean line to edge your beard, or with the guards on you can create a more subtle line. The style master made light work of trimming facial hair and is definitely geared towards a designer stubble look and it is possible to get a clean shave too if used without the guards. The style master information states that the trimmer has a 4d head, meaning it cuts hair in different directions, to ensure an effective trim and the head pivots, allowing it to follow the contours of the face and give a consistent and comfortable trim.
The trimmer can be prone to getting a little clogged when trimming thicker hair but is easy to clean by running under the tap. The blade can be changed but is suggested to last for up to 6 months before needing a change, but this is excellent in ensuring your style master retains its excellent functionality.
The style master also comes with its own mains charger (with a proper plug, not a shaver plug) The style master has a 10-hour charge time, which is a bit lengthy, but once charged will run for 45 minutes and is waterproof, not just water resistant, so you can use it in the shower!
The style master is priced at £39.99 which makes it excellent value for money and a good price to buy as a gift for a loved one.
Overall, this is an excellent product, at a good price point and perfect for the man in your life, who you never know what to buy. I would highly recommend the style master as a great gift idea.
