I’m always eager to try new skin care products, so was very happy to be asked to try this new product from Jeunvie . The use of stem cell technology in skin care is new to me and I have to admit I had never heard of it before receiving this product to test. The thick creamy liquid comes in a brown bottle with a pipette for drop by drop dispensing. The outer box contains a lot of information about the product. After reading it all I couldn’t quite understand if the product is plant based or synthetic as it states it contains “ concentrated synthetic human stem cell activators” and then goes on to say it combines “ potent plant phytochemicals, anti-oxidants, natural peptides and botanical cell culture extracts”. There’s a lot of big words there.
It pledges to help hydrate, smooth and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Being old enough to have a senior railcard I’m all for that.
The product can be massaged into the skin or for optimum results. It is recommended that you use the “hydra derma needle” system which is a disposable applicator which gets the product into the deeper layers of skin.
I used the product twice daily as instructed for seven days. For the first application I used the “hydra derma needle system. This is where you place a few drops of the product into a small vial then place the top on which is a roller with small needles in it. I was a bit alarmed when I saw the word needle but it’s not what you might think and wasn’t unpleasant to use. Using this applicator I did find it difficult to tell how much product I was getting on my skin. The instructions say to roll the needles over targeted areas 4 or 5 times. For me this was forehead, top lip and neck. A new needle head has to be used for each application so as I only had one of these I used my fingers for the rest of the applications.
Now for the million dollar question. Did I notice an improvement in my skin? I still have fine lines and wrinkles but I do think they are slightly less prominent and my skin looks much brighter and fresher. I think it is quite a complex product and application system and was difficult for me to work out what it was all about but I am definitely going to use the rest of the bottle. This is a premium product that would make the perfect Christmas gift for anyone who loves trying new skincare technology.
