In The Night Garden Snuggly Singing Igglepiggle Review

Anyone with small children will be aware of the CBeebies show, In The Night Garden. My nearly two year old loves the show and sits mesmerized when it comes on so when we were offered the chance to review the In The Night Garden Snuggly Singing Igglepiggle we couldn’t wait. Igglepiggle arrived well packaged so it wouldn’t get damaged in transit and from the outside of the packaging you couldn’t tell what was inside. Perfect if you are ordering this toy as a surprise Christmas gift.
When we opened the package we discovered a classic looking Igglepiggle holding his signature red blanket. My daughter got so excited at this point shouting “It’s Igglepiggle!” over and over. It took a few minutes to get the toy out as he is attached with a few plastic ties that needed cutting, worth bearing in mind and keeping scissors to hand if this is to be a Christmas morning gift. When we did finally get him out my little girl couldn’t stop cuddling him. I can totally understand why as he is so soft and, as described, totally snuggly.
As well as being perfect to cuddle we soon discovered the singing element of the toy. If you squeeze Igglepiggle’s tummy it starts to sing his song from the TV show which led to fits of giggles from my daughter as she joined in with singing along. I was very impressed with the music part of this toy. It was very easy for my daughter to squeeze the tummy compared to other similar toys were she gets frustrated trying to press the button inside a toy. The sound quality was also good, the song sounds exactly like it does on the show and the volume is at a good level, loud enough to hear but not too loud. Although regardless of the quality it quickly becomes rather annoying to adult ears, you will have the song stuck in your head for hours afterwards!
This is an excellent Christmas gift for any toddlers who love In The Night Garden. At just under 30cm high it’s a good size to be carried around while playing as well as snuggling up to for cuddles. My nearly two year absolutely loves it and won’t put it down.
