Haribo Advent Calendar Review

Reviewed by Debbie Talbot
Until this year our pre-Christmas tradition has been buying a basic chocolate advent calendar with an RRP of £1 or £2. This year has been so different. I was delighted to be offered a Haribo advent calendar to review. It arrived quickly. The first thing that struck me was how substantial it was and the quality of it. It was a good size both length and depth wise. The artwork on the front of the advent calendar is stunning. It is of a lovely Christmas scene. I love blue, so was delighted to see that the main colour of the calendar is blue.
I decided to give the calendar to my teenage daughter. She couldn’t wait to open it and because it was a review she was allowed to. There are 24 treats inside the calendar, one for each day of December up to and including Christmas Eve. All 3 of my children and myself love Haribo. It was great to see that the advent calendar contained familiar sweets such as Tropifrutti, Phantasia and MAOAM Pinballs. The balance between mini bags and jellies was perfect. My daughter’s favourite treat was the Merry Christmas pack. This contained a sparkling star and gingerbread shapes. For those of you who like candy canes, you won’t be disappointed.
I think that Haribo have got the quantity right for behind each door. Opening the advent calendar feels like a real treat. I think that this calendar would appeal to a wide age range, I am 45 years old and would be delighted to receive one.
I think that this calendar makes a pleasant change from the chocolate calendars I usually buy my children in the run up to Christmas every year. It certainly put a smile on my daughter’s face. I think that I will be buying one for each of my children… and myself next year. This is the perfect Christmas Advent Calendar for Haribo fans young and old.
I couldn’t end this review without mentioning the other Haribo product which myself and my children love. The £1 bags of Starmix are our top favourite. I think that the product is such good value, so many sweets are packed in for the money you pay.
