Gold Edition Smart Screen Review

So many times over the last year I have tried to clean my phone with hand gel or a wet wipe and been left worrying I’m ruining the screen or getting annoyed that I still have lots of smudges. And now I don’t have to! The Gold Edition Smart Screen is the world’s first antibacterial microfibre cloth dedicated to cleaning your smartphone.

The cloth is made of a gentle microfibre with a silver ion antibacterial liquid. This means that it kills up to 99.9% of bacteria and the cloth remains effective for up to 15 washes. It also says on the packaging that you don’t need to wash it unless soiled.

The cloth arrived quickly and was well packaged in a cardboard box. Then inside the cardboard box is a very stylish blue pouch and the beautiful microfibre cloth. The pouch is very small (7.8 x 7.8 cm) so would easily fit in your pocket and it also has a high quality popper fastening which attaches the cloth to the pouch so you don’t have to worry about losing it and also makes it incredibly simple to wash (the pouch shouldn’t ever be washed).

The cloth is 24 x 24cm and is slightly heavier than most microfibre cloths. It is a navy blue colour with intricate gold foil on one side of it. I thought the gold foil might be a bit raised but it isn’t so you can use both sides of the cloth to clean your device.

It’s amazing how quickly my phone screen gets dirty and is covered with fingerprint marks. Since I’ve received the Gold Edition Smart Screen it’s been really useful to be able to pop in my pocket or bag and then use it constantly throughout the day to get rid of smudges. I’ve also used it to clean my laptop and my sunglasses but it could be used for any glass product.

There are six other colours to choose from on the website and there is even the option to get the gold edition cloth for £7.95 without the pouch. I really like this product. Everything about it is well designed and of high quality. I love being able to keep the cloth in the pouch and the pouch in my pocket as it means it’s easy to carry around and my phone has never been cleaner!

I would also recommend this product to others. Pretty much everybody now carries around at least one device with them at all times and yet I don’t know anyone who cleans them regularly. In the last year I feel we have all become used to carrying around hand gel and making sure we constantly wash our hands but until the Smart Screen, we haven’t had anything which not only quickly and easily wipes our device but which also has antibacterial properties.
