When I buy clothing, I tend to be happy to pay a bit more for quality. I have had many of the garments I own for 10+ years or more and they are still in excellent condition. I am a busy father of 1 and grandfather of 4. I do tend to purchase quite a lot of the things that I need online.
I was delighted to be offered a British Wool Zip Nack Clapdale Jumper from Glencroft Countrywear to review. It arrived quickly in perfect condition. I couldn’t wait to wear it and it wasn’t long before I had it on. What struck me most of all was the fantastic quality of the dark green wool from which it is made. It is cosy to wear and most importantly comfortable. Whilst I do tend to choose clothing based on how it looks, what it is like to wear is also important to me. I also like the fact that this garment was made in Britain.
The jumper is long sleeved. I like the size of the hem and cuffs. I also like the fact that the jumper is not a full zip style. It looks fantastic and is easy to get on and off. I love the fact that that it’s the style that also keeps your neck warm on a cold windy day. The design is simple and stylish. The grey colour inside the neck of the collar really compliments the dark green of the jumper. The jumper would look great worn over a pair of jeans or trousers. I like wearing it when I am having a cosy evening at home. It is also great to put on without a coat on some of the less warm days we are having.
There are some lovely products available on the Glencroft Countrywear website. In fact their website has products for men, women and children.
With Father’s Day coming up, here are a few of the items for men which are on the Glencroft Countrywear website:
One item available for men is a Mens Shawl Collar Tweed Patch Cardigan for £119.95. This could be worn on a country walk.
Speaking of cosy nights in, why not browse their range of slippers for men. Prices start at £29.95.
I love beanies myself. Why not check out this British Wool Aran Beanie Hat RRP £29.95?
Glencroft Countrywear was founded in 1987 by Richard and Justina Sexton. Their aim seems to have been to use rural life and scenery as their inspiration. Richard’s background was working in the wool and sheepskin industry since the 1960’s. I think that they have achieved the perfect mix of quality and style. As I said earlier, I would rather pay more for something which lasts. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the jumper I was sent to review is part of my clothing wardrobe 10+ years from now.
I would be delighted to receive this as a gift from a loved one but it is also very much something that I would treat myself to. I think that it would make a fantastic Father’s Day gift for a Father, Grandfather, Stepfather or father figure in someone’s life or even a ‘Just because’ gift. They even have a shop in Yorkshire which you can visit.
