This Red Early Reader is aimed at children moving onto more advanced reading and for my excited 7 year old…’chapters’.

The story tells the story of a little boy who is struggling with being picked on by another boy at school.

Mr. Monkey is their class cuddly toy and each week goes home with one of the children… but this cuddly toy is like no other… he is magic! Through the story we read about how Mr. Monkey  helps the little boy Ben cope with horrible Ian.

The illustrations bring the story alive and using easy to understand text my daughter couldn’t wait to get onto the next chapter. She thoroughly enjoyed this story and could relate to the topic in the story. Linda Chapman’s clever story telling makes this a super book for children to enjoy…. my 7 year old really enjoyed this book and gave her confidence to try other books in this series.

My daughter and I would highly recommend this book for any little one keen to try the next stage in their reading journey.
