Fashions In Eyeglasses by Richard Corson Review

From the 14th Century to the Present Day

Reviewed by Louisa  Nashir

The title of this book is self explanatory and delves into the history of glasses. The book is an interesting read and I learnt loads about glasses.

The illustrations are drawn by several artists so everyone if different but keeps in with the theme of the book. The book focuses 100% on glasses which made it an easy read as it didn’t jump from the main subject. I have come away with so much knowledge of glasses and would love to read Richard Corson’s other books in the series Fashions in Hair and Fashions in Make up as they make excellent and intellectual reading. This would make a wonderful gift or just a treat for yourself. Even my daughter expressed interest in this book as the illustrations caught her eye.  This book is a must have for all you fashionitas out there as the author has entwined famous designers such as Yves Saint-Laurent and Chanel with history. The book is loaded with facts and diagrams.

This is a fabulous book which I will read again and again as there is so much to learn about.
