We only received this last night but as soon as the little ones saw it they couldn't wait but me being a meanie mummy, they had to wait till morning! Sure enough the first thing they went for when they got up wasn't their usual breakfast it was the Chimp and Zee Little Mermaids game.

So we set about opening the box that was lovely and colourful and had a picture of 3 mermaids on the front and a mini picture of a mirror and mermaid letting you know what was in store for the game. It was clearly stated in the corner how many players the games suited and the recommended age range, which was 3-5 years even though my children are either side of this age range they couldn't wait to start. The back of the box shown the game set out which looked so much fun. The box was easy to get into and didn’t contain any annoying little bags to open, as the pieces were already in the mirrors, so all that was in the box were the 4 completes mirrors, spinner and a set of instructions.

The instructions were easy to read and follow and the game was simple, we had to separate the piece from the mirror and set them on the floor, which the spinner in the middle, the mirrors then shown little girls instead of mermaids, and we each had to choose a mirror to fill. Myself, my 2yr old boy and 7yr old girl picked up our chosen mirror and spun the mirror to see which piece we had to collect first. My son went first as much to my daughters dismay as the instructions stated the youngest went 1st, and he had to choose a tail so he chose the green one, and the carried on spinning to see what we had to collect but be careful not to land on the nasty sea witch as she meant you had to give a piece to the person on your left but if they already had that piece then it went back on the floor to be won again.

The game lasted about 10 minutes because as you got more pieces you had the chance of the spinner landing on a piece you already had so you missed your turn and it went on to the next person. But I am pleased to say that I won the first game! Woooohooo, much to the children's annoyance so we played again and again and it was just as much fun each time.

This game was fun and educational as we learnt about body parts and colours as well as co-ordination when putting the pieces in, and it was lovely to see my 2 taking turns and having fun together.

When mummy brought this game in, I couldn't wait to play it as I love mermaids and it looked fun.

When we were allowed to play I found that it was lots of fun and easy to play. I liked winning the pieces to turn my girl into a mermaid but really didn’t like landing on the witch and giving my pieces away which happened a lot, and I wasn’t happy when mummy won so I asked to play again only to get beat by my brother, so next time I’m playing against daddy and making sure I win.

I will be showing my friends this game when they come to play, as it was fun.
