Childs Farm Baby Bedtime Pillow Spray Review

We very recently had our gorgeous nephew to stay for the weekend. He is 18 months old and he sleeps quite well normally, but a mixture of him teething and sleeping in an unfamiliar cot had me a little apprehensive if I’m honest. So when I was offered the chance to try the Childs Farm Baby Bedtime Pillow Spray I jumped at the chance. It is suitable to use for babies 6 months and older so was a perfect addition to his bedtime routine. I was a bit unsure about the tangerine scent as I always assumed citrus scents will invigorate but my nephew seemed very relaxed with the scent and a little research showed me that citrus scents are supposedly good for making us feel settled and happy so this made sense. I spritzed his cot before he got in and I found the smell to be very pleasant. Not too sweet or overpowering. Come nap time he was asleep within 5 minutes, that’s a win in my book! I used it again in the evening, after his bath I sprayed a little around the cot, a little goes a long way and just like nap time he was asleep really quickly.

I am very careful with the products I use as he has sensitive skin, as most babies do, and he was absolutely fine with the spray. The usage instructions said to spray the bedding, never directly onto babies skin, so this is what I did. I always look at what ingredients are used in products, especially when I’m buying them for children, and I was pleasantly surprised at how short the ingredients list was. I was also pleased to see that the tangerine scent comes from the peel of the tangerine so is a natural fragrance rather than a manmade scent.

From a sustainability point of view the products ticks lots of boxes as far as I’m concerned, not only is the tangerine oil used organic, but comes in a plastic spray bottle, meaning the lid and bottle can easily be popped in the recycling bin. The product is made in the UK and so I felt good that we were supporting British industry, and it involved less transport miles so is a better choice for the environment. I was also very pleased to see that the spray came with a cruelty free certification, this meant I could use the product guilt free. It also carried the mark showing it to be suitable for vegans, so no animal testing and no animal ingredients, absolutely great in my book!

All in all I really rate this product, I used it for 3 nights in total with my nephew and he slept really well. I would definitely use this product again and would recommend those with little ones do the same. You can tell it is a quality product and it would make a lovely gift, either on its own, or included in a baby bundle.
