Children’s Party Food from Aldi Review

We received £15 of Aldi vouchers to spend on children’s party food at Aldi’s. They don’t do a specific range for children’s parties but there was plenty to choose from. We were super excited as we set off on our mission armed with our calculator and trolley. We could have been on supermarket sweep! We had ten 3 year olds coming round and I let Amy decide what she wanted to have to eat at the party. First on the list was pizza, the old party food staple and there was a good choice of these. We then went for humus and breadsticks, sausage rolls, ham, a tin of tuna, two kinds of cheese sticks, tortilla wraps and poppin chicken and crisps. There was not a huge selection of variations to choose for in these items but we found everything that we were looking for and were pleased with the quality of them all so perhaps we do not need such a big choice.

For the sweet treats we bought jelly crystals, one strawberry and one raspberry, Jaffa cakes, pink wafers, Easter marshmallows and raisins. There was a big selection of biscuits and cakes. I am sure that even the fussiest person would find something they liked. We finished the shop with a bottle of apple and blackcurrant squash for the drinks.

We ended up spending £14.38 and it was fantastic what we got for this. It easily fed the 10 kids plus the 4 adult helpers and we had loads left over so it would probably have fed at least 20 kids no problem. The kid’s favourites were the poppin chicken and the jelly. We would recommend the jelly crystals as they dissolved really easily and the jelly set well too.

If you wanted to go for a healthier option it would have been really easy to swap the biscuits and crisps for more fruit.

We were very impressed and would definitely use Aldi again to buy our party food.
