Bella Italia (Manchester) Review
Bella Italia

One Saturday night we recently drove into Manchester city centre for an evening out. After parking in a very convenient and reasonably priced NCP car park a few hundred metres away, we headed off to the restaurant. Upon our arrival we were quickly greeted by the friendly Manager and shown to our table. Our drinks orders were taken and they arrived quickly while we were making our choices from the menu. Our waitress was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her or any of her team. I decided to have my starter brought out with my main meal. Our meals arrived quickly:
Starters:
Polpettini
Baked spiced meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, topped with mozzarella. Served with toasted ciabatta. £5.50
Mains:
Margherita pizza
Tomato, mozzarella and basil. £6.55
Pollo alla Crema
Sliced chicken breast with red onions, roasted peppers, smoked pancetta and penne ricce pasta in a white wine sauce, with Parmesan shavings. £9.30
Our meals were hot and tasty. The staff were quick to check back if all was ok and to clear our plates away when we had finished our meal. They were very attentive in checking we were ok for drinks. By this time we were both full up and so had no room for dessert. There was, however, a wide range of desserts available, priced at a very reasonable £3.95-4.95.
Overall the service was outstanding with friendly, smart, attentive staff. The restaurant was clean and tidy, as were the toilet facilities. There was a lovely ambience with candles on each table. The food was reasonably priced, plentiful, hot and tasty. Whilst we did not take my daughter with us on this occasion, we have done so in the past and she has had their fantastic kids meal with a great activity pack. We cannot wait to visit this restaurant again.
