James Patterson Private No 1 Suspect Review

Reviewed by David Savage

This is the fourth book in the successful Private series by James Patterson and in my opinion is the best one yet!

It starts off at a very fast pace with the murder of a woman and the hi-jacking of a van and the cold blooded execution of its occupants.

Jack Morgan, ex US marine and former CIA agent, is the owner of Private, a family private investigations business.  He has built up the business into an International investigation firm with world-class investigators with state of the art technology that police forces would love to have.

Jack is framed for murder when the body of his ex-girlfriend is found in his bedroom. The murder is carried out very professionally and all the evidence says Jack killed her. He is arrested for murder and while out on bail sets out to prove his innocence and find the real killer. At the same time, him and his team also have to find $30 million of missing drugs for the mob, find a serial killer who is killing businessmen in hotel rooms while investigating rape claims and murder involving a Hollywood film star.

Will his investigators be able to protect the film star, recover the drugs for the mob while at the same time proving Jack’s innocence?

Private No. 1 Suspect is a great thrilling read from start to finish with its short intense chapters. If you have read any of the previous Private or Women’s Murder Club novels you will love this read. Whether or not you have read any James Patterson before you are in for a great treat.

Highly recommended.
