I love a Christmas jumper and every year I look for a new one as there is no better feeling than snuggling up under the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree, watching a festive movie, drinking hot chocolate whilst warm and cosy in a festive jumper. Each Christmas my whole family wear festive jumpers and T shirts and often see who can find the most outrageous jumper.
So I was pretty excited to receive a ladies Christmas jumper from Aldi!
We are regular Aldi shoppers, and I enjoy seeing their festive haul each year. This year Aldi has launched their wonderful Christmas jumper collection, and they are truly stunning and unique!
The jumper arrived very quickly and was packaged beautifully with a card sleeve and a lovely gift tag in the shape of a bauble with Merry Christmas on one side and a To/From section on the reverse. Perfect if you intend on giving it as a present.
The jumper I received was a grey 100% acrylic flamingos jumper and I fell in love with it the moment I laid eyes on it. The design is funky and very eye catching. My husband asked what flamingos had to do with Christmas but to me the flamingos make the jumper stand out and certainly beat the usual festive designs of elves or reindeer on the market.
The jumper is true to size and very comfortable to wear. The material is so cosy and has some stretch so I didn’t feel restricted once.
I wore the jumper this evening with Jean’s and boots whilst out at the Lightwaves Festival in Media City and although there was a chill to the air, I was so warm and snug whilst still looking festive and on trend. The jumper is thinner than some others on the market, but it was so warm and comfortable against my skin. I have sensitive skin so scratchy jumper really irritate me so my usual way around this is to wash the jumpers with a load of fabric softener. With this jumper I didn’t need to!
The jumper washes extremely well at 40 degrees and I adhered the care instructions and hung it up to dry. Not once during the washing cycle did the jumper lose its shape or bobble which is really impressive, and it dried pretty quickly too!
What also impressed me was the price, £7.99 this by far is the cheapest jumper I have seen whilst out and about, yet it is my favourite and most comfortable. It’s not scratchy or irritating and really flatters the wearer.
I am delighted with my flamingo jumper and will be wearing it throughout December and in January. It has become a real favourite and will be a staple part of my winter wardrobe.
I am due to have knee surgery this week so will be packing my flamingo jumper to take into the hospital with me to keep me warm and snug. My surgery means I will be off my feet for the next 6 weeks so my flamingo jumper will keep me cosy whilst I recover whilst staying festive.
If you want to stand out this Christmas and venture away from the ‘norm’ then head down to your local Aldi or take a look at their website and get your festive attire sorted for Christmas 2019.
The only thing I need to do now is hide my jumper from my teenage daughter who has taken quite a shine to my new jumper. Wish me luck!
