As soon as I put this CD on I was transported back to the mid-70s disco scene. Gloria Gaynor was one of the queens of disco and this CD is a perfect example of the sound that had floors heaving with blokes in white suits and black shirts!
Featuring her most famous hit "I Will Survive", on this CD 4 times, the original mix a couple of remixes and even a Spanish version! Although I was not a fan of disco the quality of the songs on this remastered CD will have your feet tapping and you will be looking for the nearest dancefloor. Gloria Gaynor's superb voice perfectly suits the songs.
The packaging is superb too with the insert booklet introducing the new fan to the story of Gloria and how she became the queen of 70s disco. People can be forgiven for thinking that she was a 1 hit wonder. There are other excellent disco songs on the CD too such as "Anybody Wanna Party" and "Substitute". Backed by truly excellent musicians Gloria's voice shine through.
If you're a fan of 1970's disco or even if you're not and keen to investigate music of the time you can do no better than open your ears to the wonder that was Gloria Gaynor and "Love Tracks" is an excellent introduction. Time to get out the white suit and black shirt and hit the dance floor!!
