I was really excited to receive the Little Curls Starter Pack through the post today. The packaging immediately stood out — bright, joyful, and designed to celebrate young natural curls. The branded box arrived with the uplifting message “Great curl days are here,” setting the tone for a positive curl‑care experience.
Inside the box, I found the full Little Curls routine along with instructions on how to make the most of little curls. There were tutorials for adults on the website, but I was able to locate some videos on YouTube for curly haired kids which were very helpful.
So… what was in the box. The box for the products clearly explained each step of the routine, making it simple to understand how the items work together. Everything felt thoughtfully designed for children’s curls and for parents who want a simple, straightforward routine.
The shampoo and conditioner worked beautifully together. The shampoo cleansed gently, the scent was delicate, a mixture of avocado, aloe coconut and mallow and I loved that it wasn’t too overpowering for my little one. The conditioner made detangling noticeably easier. The instructions didn’t advise to comb or brush through the conditioner in the shower, but instead run my fingers through the hair.
This filled me with dread but after washing off the conditioner and adding the magic detangling spray to sopping wet hair, the comb glided through the little one’s hair so much easier than it would normally do, ensuring that hair wash time wasn’t as stressful as it normally was. I found that the detangling spray had more of a stronger smell, but it was by no means overpowering, but I did wonder if this was a build up effect of the products I had used. The detangling spray is something that I’m tempted to “borrow” from time to time!
The Leave In Styler provided a gentle hold to keep curls defined throughout the day. It helped lock in moisture and maintain curl shape. I then used the Only Curls Microfibre Towel to take off the excess moisture from her hair and to allow it to air dry. I would have preferred to dry it, but I chose to pick my battles.
What I loved was that this styler wasn’t heavy. Young curls are delicate, so it was so nice to have a routine that didn’t weigh them down but the products provided softness and control. I just wished products like this were around when I was younger as I would have a much better grasp of my own curls!
After trying the full routine, I was genuinely impressed. The curls looked hydrated, defined with less frizz. The products delivered exactly what the pack promises: hydration, definition, and frizz control tailored to delicate children’s curls.
Overall, the Little Curls Starter Pack is a fantastic introduction to curl‑friendly care for children. The packaging is bright and fun, the products feel premium yet gentle, and the performance absolutely delivers. One thing I will say is that you don’t need much of the product, the shampoo lathered up nicely with a bit a massaging and the conditioner disappeared but again you don’t need much. A great product for little curls and would definitely recommend to fellow parents who have curly haired children.
