Wickham Festival Line-Up Announced

The Waterboys; Dexys; 10cc; Seth Lakeman; Rolf Harris; Show of Hands and The South are among the headline acts confirmed for this year’s Wickham Festival in Hampshire.

The 4-day Festival being staged between Thursday 1st and Sunday 4th August is the biggest live music festival in Hampshire this year.

Other acts announced today include The Blockheads; Wilko Johnson; Martyn Joseph; Shooglenifty; The Peatbog Faeries; Eliza Carthy; Spiers & Boden; Lunasa; Moulettes; Lau; Ahab; and Ronnie Lane’s Slim Chance.

World music artists include Le Vent du Nord from Quebec and the Spooky Mens Chorale from Australia. As well as live music on three stages the Wickham Festival also features The Groovy Movie solar-powered cinema; a Digital Funfair; street theatre; storytelling; Punch & Judy; childrens entertainers; dance displays; carnival bands; healing area; Crafts Fayre; Real Ale Festival; Exotic Foods Fayre; Late Night Festival Club and much more.

The Festival is staged in a picturesque rural setting just outside the historic Hampshire village of Wickham with its village pubs, wine bars, tea rooms and craft shops all within walking distance of the Festival site. The Festival is rated one of the safest and friendliest festivals in the UK. There was not a single theft, crime or incident of any kind last year.

Festival Organiser Peter Chegwyn says the Festival is proud of its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. “Wickham offers great live music and entertainment for all the family. We never have any trouble. Our audience just want to enjoy top-quality music in a lovely rural setting”, said Mr. Chegwyn.
