I had never heard of Twisty Petz before, but they seemed like a fun concept. There are so many toys available these days it is good to try something new. My daughter has just turned three, so I am always interested to try new things to see what she likes.

The Twisty Petz toys were originally launched a few years ago but a new range has been relaunched this year. The toys look like adorable, beaded animals, but with a simple twist, they transform into wearable bracelets, necklaces, rings, and even backpack charms. It is quite a clever concept that blends fashion, collectability, and play in one.

The collection includes various different Petz to collect, ranging from unicorns and cats to sloths and puppies. The Twisty Petz range comes in different pack formats including Blind Bags (with one surprise pet), 2-Pack and 3-Pack sets. The packs are fun as there is a mix of visible and hidden pets, so you are not sure which ones you going to receive.

The price depends on the pack size. The 3 pack has a RRP of £15, and the mystery bags which contain one Petz, retail at £6. The pricing makes Twisty Petz an affordable treat or gift option.
What makes Twisty Petz stand out is their dual functionality. You can wear them as sparkly accessories but then twist them back into pets for imaginative play. The transformation is quite simple, but my daughter did have to be shown a few times before she could do it herself. The beads are sturdy enough to hold their shape without being too rigid. The designs are bright, and colourful and some of the Petz have glittery finishes.

From my perspective, Twisty Petz tick a lot of boxes. They are small, easy to store, and do not require batteries. They encourage creativity and help with fine motor skills. I can imagine that some older children would also trade any duplicates that they have with their friends.

The downside is that younger children, like my daughter do need help twisting the pets back into their animal forms, especially with the smaller beads. The surprise element of not knowing which Petz you are going to get is great but at the same time, if you are a collector I can see that this would be frustrating as you could pay money for something you already have.

In conclusion, Twisty Petz are a delightful blend of fashion and fun. They are super cute, collectible, and cleverly designed to appeal to kids who love accessories and animals. The range is aimed at children over four and I would agree. My daughter is three and although she loved the 2 pack, she did need help converting them and is not really at the age to be in to collectibles.

The RRP of the two pack that we trialled is £12.

You can buy them from Twisty Pets from here.

Rating: 3/5 Fun little product but the I fear the novelty will wear off quite quickly.
