Tomy Toomies Foam Cone Factory Review

Who’s up for ice cream, 1 scoop or 2? (well, pretend ice cream out of foam)… love it.

Love, love, love this… Think I had more fun with it than my granddaughter did.

My granddaughter is 20 months old and she had an absolutely brilliant time playing with it.  She didn’t want to get out of the bath.  Needless to say, we have used it in general play, not just for bath times.  On a lovely, warm sunny day, it comes out and we pretend to be an ice cream van.  Brothers, Mum and Dad queue up and use toy money to buy an ice cream, then, even more fun happens, they blow the foam and this creates so much fun, laughter and giggles.  What a great way to interact, create roll play, get the child to learn motion skills and have so much fun at the same time.

I just love Tomy Toomies.  Their awesome ideas and inventions always blow me away.  As always, their toys are interactive, educational, sensory and great for learning.

I’ve had some brilliant bath time toys in the past but this tops them all.  As with Tomy Toomies toys, they are made of high quality, they are robust and strong.  Great colours which are bright, vibrant and bold which most certainly catches the eye of the child and enables them to learn colours at the same time.

It’s so simple, effective and so easy to use.  It’s a great way and ideal for disbar ting children as they gain more confidence in the water.

Simple to set up and use.

  1. Stick machine onto the wall or the side of your bath
  2. Then, take the white ice cream cap off the cone that sits on top of the machine
  3. Pop in a few drops of bubble bath (although, I found shower gel worked better but does depend on the brand)
  4. Add some water
  5. Pull the lever
  6. Watch the foam come out and whirl the foam just like real ice cream
  7. Instant ice cream cones to play with
  8. You can even add your own sprinkles which comes in a cute little shaker

The sprinkles come in different colours:-

  1. Pink
  2. Blue
  3. Yellow

It comes with 3 cones which have a flat bottom which enables them to be steadily placed on the side down without falling down.  The even have the markings on them just like a real cone.

The good thing about the foam, ones on the cone, it can then be used to wash themselves with too.  We had fun blowing the foam onto the areas for washing and this teaches the to wash themselves too.

As with any toy that comes with loose parts, you will need to make sure you supervise the child at all times.

Just a cleaning tip… Always rinse wash and rinse it all out with hope soapy water, you can always leave it in to soak for a while and then rinse it out with cold water.  This prevents any build up of bubble bath.

Overall, I am absolutely delighted with this toy.  It is strong, sturdy, safe and secure once placed to the wall or side of the bath.  It can be used other times, just make sure you prop it up or have an adult hold it for the child.

I would most certainly recommend this toy for all the reasons I have mentioned above.  Tomy Toomies… you’ve surpassed yourself again and I am delighted.
