My daughter was intent on visiting the Blackpool Tower Dungeon as it was similar to Horrible Histories. I was pleasantly surprised, the acting by all involved was exceptional and they seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. We went in with a full capacity of people which really helped the atmosphere.
Basically you walked from room to room in nigh on darkness, where an actor was waiting to play out a set piece. There was plenty of humour blended into the educating entertainment, as well of audience participation.
Its quiet lengthy at around an hour, so felt good value for money. Unfortunately my daughter wasn’t willing to go on the drop ride at the end, so we bailed out into the gift shop at that stage.
I would say children should be around 10 years old before they consider going in as some of the content (especially the Viking film) was a tad graphic.
Overall we did have a great time and would recommend it.
