We were invited to sample the new summer menu at FeD Cardiff on Sunday 5 June. FeD is a buffet stlye restaurant with food from around the world. We arrived about 1pm and were immediately seated by enthusiastic staff who told us all about the delicious new summer menu.
We started with a selection from the salad bar, there were so many choices all well-presented and really fresh and tasty.
We then moved on to the grill, where you choose what you want and they cook it fresh and bring it to the table.
There are so many different stations with food from around the world it is really difficult what to choose.
There really is something for everyone, we both have totally different tastes but were both able to find lots of different delicious foods. My personal favourite was the Chinese, the noodles were amazing.
My husband’s favourite was the Indian, he loved the Madras lentil curry from the new summer menu, and commented the lamb in a curry dish was so tender it melted in your mouth.
As it was Sunday I felt I needed to sample the roast (any excuse), there was a choice of Turkey and Beef with vegetables, Yorkshire Pudding, roast and mashed potato.
There are so many delicious looking desserts on offer, there’s also the ice cream bar with a chocolate fountain, I decided to try a small sample of several desserts, they were all delicious but my absolute favourite was the Mango Cheesecake, it really was a taste sensation.
There is also a wind range of delicious cocktails and mocktails available.
We will definitely be paying another visit to FeD as it’s impossible to try everything on first visit, I would also recommend to friends, the restaurant has plenty of seating and is very clean, and the toilets were spotless with fresh smelling hand wash.
