I have never been a big fan of carbonated drinks due to the unpleasant synthetic flavours or the bloated feeling afterwards. Like the cans of fizzy drink you would find in a news agents or on pump in bar.

I love natural flavours that are refreshing without heavy sugar content or synthetic sweeteners. I look forward to having a high end carbonated drink as a treat.

I hadn’t heard of or seen Soda Folk drinks before but not surprising due the current pandemic.

I was really looking forward to trying the Soda Folk mix pack.
Soda Folks mission is to fill the world with authentic flavours that are natural in colouring, no artificial preservatives or sweeteners. The sodas are also gluten free and vegan friendly. Soda Folk wanted to introduce soda drinkers to a world full of flavours that are authentic, honest, natural and true to their roots.

Soda Folks mission sounded right up my street due to the natural flavours, colourings and no preservatives . I couldn’t wait to try the mix pack.

The mix pack contained sixteen cans in total. Four 330ml cans of drink in each of the following flavours:
-Cherry
-Grape
-Cream Soda
-Root Beer

Each of the flavours were very flavoursome and natural tasting. There was no sharpe after taste or overly sweetened taste.
The fizziness of the drinks was just right. No, full feeling. The fizziness allowed for the flavours to develop in your mouth fully. I loved that the cheery and grape contained 50% natural fruit juice.
Each of the fruit flavours had 50% natural fruit juice in the cherry and grape drinks. I felt reassured and comfortable the soda wasn’t going to cause unwanted effects such as hyper activity and decided to treat the little people in my house to a cupful. They loved the fruitiness of the cherry and grape, whilst enjoying having a fizzy drink. A fizzy drinks at home are a rarity and more so for the children to drink.

My favourite flavour was the cherry. It tasted so fruity and natural, whilst also refreshing.
My second favourite flavour was the Cream Soda. I felt very nostalgic drinking it and enjoyed how it brought back happy childhood memories. The flavour was a lovely warming vanilla.

I also tried the soda as mixers, with the grape and cherry working really well with gin or bacardi. Definitely something I would use as a mixer again.

Soda Folk drinks are available online from Soda Folk, in restaurants, selected Sainsbury’s and via Amazon.

Next time I am out for a meal I will definitely be ordering a Soda Folk drink to enjoy. I have also added Soda Folk to my Christmas drinks list.

Overall, I score Soda Folk 5/5. The flavours taste so natural and with no nasties included I don’t feel bad for having a soda.
The fizziness is just perfect and you aren’t left with a painful bloating afterwards.

The soda can be bought from

The multipack of 16 cans, which contains the for different flavours costs £16.99.
At just over £1 a can I think the sodas are excellent quality and value. Plus, a percentage from every soda sold goes to help a good cause. I highly recommended the Soda Folk sodas.
