Boutique Gifts Leather Cross Body Bag Review

Well, it can be hard to know what on earth to buy “for her “at the best of times, but not least for those romantic times like Valentine’s Day or affectional occasions like Mother’s Day.    It seems like then the pressure is really on to buy the “perfect “gift that is sure to melt her heart.  Very difficult for the giver who often wishes they were a mind reader!
Well, this bag ticks all the boxes and should be the success that you have been looking for.  A beautiful bag. It arrived very swiftly in sturdy packaging wrapped in delicate tissue paper, in green, with more crisp white tissue paper inside bearing the words ‘LoveGifts’.

This started off the pleasant anticipatory feeling that this had been given with love and thoughtfulness.  The bag inside looked instantly attractive.  Personalised with three letters on the front flap and looking like sheer luxury.
Upon handling I found that the leather is incredibly soft and high quality, it is a pleasure to touch. It also has that pleasing leather aroma.  I would say it is small to medium sized – approximately 7.5“ x 8.5“.  The front flap opens to reveal a zipped top which opens into a reasonable sized pouch.  Inside is an inner zipped pocket and it is all fully lined. On the back of the bag there is a further zipped pocket.  The fixings have attractive studs which are up around the top edges and the stitching detail is excellent.  The strap is lovely and long and fully adjustable. Approximately 50”
It will certainly fit across the body or can be adjusted to make it into a shoulder bag.  The colour is a very pale pink with beige undertones and is neutral enough to compliment most outfits.

It is such good quality I would’ve expected it to have had a higher price tag! Although it is essentially an everyday bag the personalisation lifts it up a notch and makes it a little bit special.  This personalisation is optional and can be in silver or gold and up to three capital letters.  The bag comes in various different colours.

Unfortunately my bag had some damage to the strap.  I contacted Boutique Gifts and they explained that because it was for a review and they hadn’t had any problems like this before they were not able to replace it for me. This was a little disappointing, however, I’m sure that if it had been a regular purchase they would have replaced it. Nor was it gift boxed as shown on the website so I am unable to comment on the quality of this.  (editor’s note – the reviewer was sent a review sample)

Checking out the Boutique Gift website I did find it an absolute treasure trove of personalised gift ideas – so I shall certainly be making purchases for upcoming weddings and anniversaries.  There are lots of different shapes and sizes of bags available along with many other items – and all personalised if desired.

I think that this would be a superb gift for her for any occasion:
Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Birthdays, Christmas, any time.  A luxury personal gift, charmingly packaged – excellent.
