The Red Boat by Hannah Cumming Review

This bright and colourful book was an instant hit in my house with both girls age 6 and 10!

The story is about Posy and her dog George who are lonely and miserable after moving house and leaving all of her friends.

Posy and George find a red boat in the garden, one night Posy and George cannot sleep so they go down in to the garden and climb into the red boat and they are whisked off on a magical adventure!

The next night Posy and George visit the magical flying boat and the same thing happens, Posy and George really enjoy their magical adventures and soon Posy begins to enjoy real life too as she makes some new friends at school and realises that her new house isn’t all that bad now.

A beautifully written children’s story which will be read again and again at bedtime.
