Wolf Springs Chronicles: Savage by Nancy Holder Review

Reviewed by Lucy Lowndes

Savage is the third book in the Wolf Springs Chronicles series. The Wolf Spring Chronicles follows the story of Katelyn McBride and her life since moving from LA to Wolf Springs.

From the Back Cover:
Who do you run to? Out in the forest tensions are blazing like forest fire. The ancient rivalry between the Fenner and Gaudin packs has reached fever pitch, and only a battle will quell the blood lust. Katelyn is caught in the middle, her pack loyalties tested like never before. The person she needs the most – strong, sexy, loyal Trick – has no idea about her dark secrets. And while werewolf wars are raging, the Hellhound is still out there, stalking her every move. It’s time to take control. It’s time to get savage.

The book itself is very eye catching with a lady walking through a field at night, with the shadow of a wolf behind her. The text is a good size and the overall quality of the book is 5/5.

I am a huge fan of supernatural novels and I was very eager to start reading Savage straight away.

As I hadn’t read the first two books in this series I was quite worried that I wouldn’t be able to ‘get into’ the book. But after reading the synopsis on the first two books (Unleashed and Hot Blooded) and the first chapter of Savage, I was completely taken in by the story. Throughout the book, past events are mentioned a lot which was really useful for me to understand what was happening. The book is fast paced and well written. You quickly learn about the different characters, and who they are in relation to Katelyn. This story had me gripped and I found it quite hard to put down once I had started to read it.

I have really enjoyed reading this book, and I will certainly be reading it again (after I have read the first two books, which I am now in the process of purchasing).

The RRP of the book is £9.99, which I think for the quality of the book is a good price.

I would highly recommend this book to any fan of the supernatural, but I would perhaps suggest reading the first two books of the series beforehand.

Rating: 5/5
