The very first thing I noticed after I opened the beautifully wrapped package appearing at my door was that I was particularly impressed with the thickness of these oven gloves. Supermarket-bought oven gloves are smaller, and over a short period of time, when using supermarket-bought gloves, they no longer protect the tips of your fingers at the very edges of the gloves, and you can clearly feel the heat radiating through, so in terms of performance, they offered a reassuring level of protection. The gloves are made with an ideal thickness to help protect your hands and fingers from heat, whether you use hot trays, dishes, or pans. I also loved the fact that they are so much bigger than all the previous ones I’ve ever bought. These measure a lovely 200 x 960 mm, so ultimately, they provide substantial cover for your hands and is so much better when using big pots and pans.

The materials the company has used are also incredibly hardy, so I knew these were going to last a decent length of time, but despite the protective padding, they continue to be supple enough to allow for a comfortable grip, which is very important to me as my three children are now at an age where they are cooking and baking independently.

The material consistency is made from a top layer of 100% cotton ½ panama, giving it a durable yet soft finish, while the bottom is made from polyester/cotton towelling which is where the added comfort and insulation come from. It has a little tag sewn on that contains the care instructions so that you can ensure you are prolonging the life of your designer gloves.

These oven gloves come in a range of eye-catching designs, making them a very stylish addition to any kitchen and in particular, the reason I chose this one is that it’s the only colour in my kitchen. This time, my husband and I decided to change our décor for silver, grey and white so these colourful gloves have been an incredible addition and catch my eye every time I go into that room. There are 8 different options available on their website, and I did struggle with which print to choose as they are all extremely detailed and incredibly picturesque.

The gloves are made in Britain and the designs feature Lizzie Spikes’ signature colourful artwork, adding a bright touch to your cooking and baking routines. So both a delightfully useful as well as artistic addition to your kitchen. The gloves come with a built-in hanging loop, which makes it easy to store if you keep yours on a hook. Ours tend to stay on the oven door handle and the perfect spot in our kitchen.

Overall, I love these oven gloves because they are a reliable and attractive kitchen necessity and make an ideal gift for any occasion for anyone you may know who loves cooking and baking.

I rate these gloves at 5/5! They cost £28 and can be purchased from this link https://driftwooddesigns.co.uk/shop/products/calonnog-hearty-oven-gloves/
