The Pad Creator Instant Print Tablet isn’t just child’s play—it’s more like a mini-imagination station you can hold in your hands and take with you wherever you go. My daughter doesn’t play with toys anymore, so I was eager to see her reaction. Rather than being a basic toy, this tablet is very much like a small creative hub for children, which allows their creativity to run free. It has a 5MP camera and can capture short HD videos, making it easy for children to snap photos or film moments, then use those to create fabulous projects they can treasure for years to come.
Its biggest selling point for me is the range of creative options. Across six different approaches—including Photo/Video, Draw/Design, Instant Print, Secret Journal, Creative Projects, and Kids Search—there are a few different options to investigate and discover. Children can illustrate, add stickers, insert text and images, and even design their own unique cards or collages using ready-made templates. The safe and secure, child-friendly search capability is a nice little add-on, letting them explore ideas and inspiration in a very safe environment would put any parent’s mind at ease.
The 8-inch touchscreen is bright and child-friendly, and a stylus is included which makes designing and drawing feel authentic, as if you were drawing on paper but easier because you can correct yourself without leaving any marks behind. One of the highlights and best features, according to my daughter, is the built-in thermal printer, which allows for instant printing with no having to wait for the ink to dry. It’s quick, mess-free, and surprisingly easy and straightforward to use. It comes with four rolls of thermal paper, which allows for over 250 prints.
My daughter started creating her fab little projects and didn’t worry about the paper running out too quickly. My daughter was impressed with the fact that her creations and projects could be saved to the gallery, printed instantly, or shared with her friends, so she can save all without losing anything or she can come back to it the next day if she was still busy.
Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included), the tablet is portable and easy to take anywhere because of the size of the actual tablet and the speed of recharging. This has been a huge success in our house and it’s lovely to see her drawings come to life in a printable image. Like an iPad stylus, this too must be charged. The package itself is generous, including the tablet, stylus, USB cable, sticker sheet, paper rolls, and an instruction manual.
I would 100% definitely buy again as I’m a parent who is very aware of how much time children love spending online and I’m not keen on them being on devices all day long. This allows them to use a device but in a constructive and creative way that uses their imagination regardless. They can’t access main social media applications, so it feels a healthier option all round.
Overall, the Pad Creator Instant Print Tablet is a balanced, engaging apparatus that promotes creativity in multiple ways. It’s particularly suitable for imaginative, tech-savvy kids who enjoy both creating on-screen and seeing their ideas come to life in print.
