Hey Dude Men’s Shoes – Mikka Hawke Stretch Knit Blue Review

As my husband is diabetic, he has found that as he gets older his feet are becoming quite tender so he often struggles to find comfortable, affordable shoes to wear. He has tried many different brands but finding a pair that look good and tick all the boxes can be quite hard. He was delighted when I was offered a pair of Hey Dude shoes for review and after looking at the various styles on offer, he eventually plumped for the Mikka style in a trendy shade of Hawk Blue and in a size 9. The shoes came wrapped in a fully recyclable box, which is a very important feature in our household as we are trying to be as ecologically aware as possible. On trying the Hey Dude shoes, my husband remarked on how comfortable and light weight. they were and discovered that they were a perfect fit. These days, my husband seems to live in denim jeans and casual pants, so he wanted a pair of shoes which would coordinate with his fashion style. There was a great choice of men’s shoes available but he really liked the Hawke Blue Mikka style as he loves the casual yet trendy appearance. The Mikka loafer is made from a stretch knit material and is ultralight, ensuring extreme comfort. The shoe has extra ankle support and a wide elastic band under the tongue, which makes walking without stumbling much easier, especially to someone who is getting older. I always think it is important to look as stylish as you possible can without compromising to comfort and these Hey Dude shoes really look super trendy whilst being extremely practical too. The shoes look fashionable with bold contrasting stitching to the denim look stretch outer fabric. They have a striped patterned lining and microfibre heel cups. The memory foam insoles have antibacterial properties, ensuring that the shoes stay fresh and clean. They are machine washable too which is another added bonus. Hey Dude is a very environmentally friendly brand as their ethos is to recycle where they can and be as sustainable as possible. They actively encourage their customers to wash their shoes over and over again, thus making the need to purchase a new pair less necessary. Their shoes can be traded in for a discount off a new pair and recycled so making less for landfill. My husband has worn many different styles of shoes, in fact I sometimes wonder if he has a bit of a shoe buying problem as we have started to call him Imelda Marcos when he comes back with yet another pair! He has now stated that these Hey Dude shoes are the most comfortable, practical shoes he has ever worn and just as important, they look extremely stylish too. I’m sure that these Hey Dude shoes will last him for years, especially as they can be washed in the machine, thus ensuring that they stay looking fresh. I would definitely recommend these shoes to anyone, young or old, who wants that extra bit of comfort whilst staying looking good.
