HEYDUDE took apart classic styles, removed the stiff, metal parts and then reconstructed them using their patented EVA sole technology and lightweight, hard-wearing materials to create the funkiest, comfiest shoes straight out of the box.

So after reading HEYDUDES history I was even more elated I had been chosen to review a pair, I am also glad they were choosing for me as looking upon their website I was most certainly spoilt for choice, they cater for everyone, women, men and children, with various designs – Easy slip on, Easy on lace fit, Active and airflow, Flip-flops and Boots.
The shoes arrived boxed within a waterproof parcel bag, so all packaging was recyclable, I was please to see I had received the Wendy Chambray Doodle Black shoes from the Easy on lace fit design. I remember this pair catching my eye. The upper is created from a black cotton chambray fabric, shaped and stitched similar to a moccasin, the heel is in a fabulous coordinating soft dusky pink suede with an embossed HEYDUDE logo, each side of the shoes have a lovely unique doodle design, giving them a funky pop look. The sole is non slip in a white durable patented EVA. Overall they are extremely lightweight. They came threaded with white laces but also come with a pair of black laces for preference, I am one for wearing slip on shoes due to having a bad back I am unable to bend over to tie laces, I have never seen a laced shoe that you can adjust to tighten if you so wish but you are then still able to easily just slip on.

They are designed to be worn with or without socks to which I prefer without, my first day of wearing was a perfect day to try them out we are having a heatwave, nice sweaty feet and blisters here we come!

How wrong was I! the moment they were on my feet I could feel the softness of the memory foam insoles, I am only a size 3 and they are so true to size not the slightest nip to any of my toes, I felt like I had just slipped on a comfy pair of slippers, out and about my feet felt completely cool not a sweaty toe in sight, and after a full day of wearing I was also completely blister free. Not only were they comfortable they were also very noticeable I had a few compliments on them, one of which was from my GP.

They are certainly on par in quality and price to some well known branded shoes I own, they haven’t been off my feet since I received them, well except bedtime.  I will most certainly be recommending them to friends and family.
