On Tuesday (17 March 2015) I went to see Sally Morgan at The Grand Opera House in York. I took my mother-in-law along with me as I knew she would enjoy this too. We parked in the carpark around the corner which is still an amazing £2 after 6pm.

I’ve seen Sally Morgan on TV quite a few time and I’ve always been fascinated by her and other psychics but I’ve never been brave enough to go and see one either as part of a show or as a 1 on 1 so I thought this was a perfect opportunity.

We collected our tickets quickly as there was no queue and made our way to our seats in the dress circle. We had a clear view of the stage which had a big screen in the centre and pictures on Sally on either side. There was music playing and the atmosphere was really excitable.

The show opened by playing a video on screen of some members of an audience from previous shows who had received a message by Sally from their loved ones. It was really nice to be able to see this and see how people reacted/responded once the messages had sunk it.

Sally then appeared on the stage looking lovely in a gorgeous purple sparkly top. She welcomed everybody and had the lights turned up to see everybody and say hello. She is so enthusiastic and warming when she comes onto the stage that she has you smiling and feeling relaxed immediately.

She began by explaining simply how her “Sixth Sense” happens and how she responds to it. She explained that the camera man on stage was there to film the members of the audience as they were speaking to her and that they would appear on the big screen so we could all see who she was talking too, she then gave us a quick demo by flicking the screen to 2 very shocked ladies in the audience. There were also theatre staff members dotted about with microphones to pass to people who had messages so they could speak to Sally clearly. She then mentioned that she used to get messages by holding/touching peoples personal items or photos so she had 2 plastic drums that had been in the foyer prior to the show, 1 was for messages on paper/card to be put in and the other was for photographs (copies as they were unable to be returned). Unfortunately I didn’t know about this so hadn’t put anything in either of them which is a shame as I’d loved to have put something in with the hope that she was drawn to it, saying that it’s my own fault as it is mentioned on her website.

It was definitely different seeing her live on stage to seeing her on TV as you don’t know how much of shows are cut or edited. It was really nice seeing Sally genuinely reacting to the people that have passed making their presence known to her on the stage, sometimes she just said a name that she had been given by them and other times she jumped or nearly cried or looked away in upset as she saw images of people just appear in front of her.  There were quite a few people that got messages, some were just simple messages to let people know their loved ones were watching over them and others messages were clear and obvious, there were a few who understood them slightly but needed to do some further digging/speaking with family member to help them make more sense out of them.

The first couple of messages took quite a while to get a reaction but I think that was purely down to people too nervous to stand up and acknowledge the messages. The 2nd half of the stage seemed to run quicker which I think was down to people standing up quicker to be acknowledged and take part. Although getting messages from loved ones is a sensitive topic, it wasn’t all tears and welling up, there were lovely memories brought back for people which brought smiles and giggles to the night giving a warm hearted happy touch.

I did find myself holding my breath in anticipation each time she got a new message secretly hoping it would be for me or my mother-in-law or both of us from a family member but unfortunately nobody came through for us.

Some of my family members have been to 1 to 1’s with psychics before and even though I’ve been asked it’s never been my cup of tea, I think its not because of being sceptical, probably more to do with of a fear of the unknown but this show has definitely changed my view on this, I think I might consider going for a 1 to 1 reading now and I’d definitely without a shadow of a doubt go to a show like this again.

Thank you for a wonderful night Sally Morgan.
