I have now had this plant for a week and there are already new shoots on it, which makes me think it must be pretty hardy and resilient. I’m looking forward to it growing and starting to hang down one of my shelves. This plant also flowers, with little white flowers, so I’m also looking forward to seeing those appear as the weather gets warmer.

This plant was delivered to me in a cardboard box via the post. Upon opening the box I couldn’t actually see the plant or the pot due to the amount of bubble wrap packaging. Despite the packaging, there was a fair amount of loose soil in the box too so I wasn’t sure what condition the plant was in before unravelling all the bubble wrap. Luckily, this is a plant that was sitting below the pot’s top, otherwise I’m not sure it would have survived the journey. However, after reshuffling the soil and the plant to resemble a pot plant again it looks to have survived quite well, indicating that it was likely a high quality and well looked after plant prior to being put in its box to be posted to me.

I have never owned a string of pearls plant before, but like the look of it and I have a specific shelf in my lounge that I put hanging plants on, so I’m looking forward to seeing it settle in and start growing, then getting to see it flower.

This plant came from Cherry Lane (www.cherry-lane.co.uk) who say they offer, ‘local value garden centres’. Their website also shows a selection of other plant and garden related items as well as a huge selection of other things including home, storage, pet and leisure items! Their plant and garden items look to be reasonably priced and I would say aligned with other garden centre prices.

I haven’t seen a Cherry Lane garden centre anywhere, but the website shows one in Yorkshire, in Tickhill in Doncaster. For other locations please see this link; https://www.cherry-lane.co.uk/a/storelocator

I like to receive flowering plants as gifts instead of cut flowers, as they last and you can see them flower over and over again if looked after. With Mother’s Day approaching, this, or one of their many other flowering plants, would make a lovely, longer lasting, Mother’s Day gift than a bunch of cut flowers.

I rate this 4 out of 5 and look forward to seeing it grow throughout Spring and then flower.
The RRP for this item is £9.49 and it is only available to purchase in person from one of their garden centres.
