LEGO Show
Event City Manchester

As very keen fans of LEGO Discovery Centre next to The Trafford Centre, a visit on the Bank Holiday Monday was a must! Our party consisted of two adults and two very excited six year olds!
It was the first time we had been to Event City, the newest exhibition area in Manchester, and I have to say that it was very easy to get to and amazingly the parking was free! Thumbs up for the venue!
As we entered the exhibition hall we were shown to a desk where wrist bands were available for you to write the name of your child and your mobile number in case they got lost at the event – a fabulous idea! From here we worked our way around the hall being constantly amazed by the incredible models made of LEGO on display. At times it was hard to stop the girls reaching out to touch the models – and you did see a few stressed parents around as after all, to children LEGO is a fun creative toy – not one to just look at from a distance. However, there were areas for the children to get involved with LEGO blocks and workshops for them to learn how to create models which were fabulous.
One of the highlights was a world record breaking mosaic where visitors were invited to create an A4 size panel to add to the mosaic so you felt really involved in this mammoth record attempt! Our last point of call before we left was the cinema where a film of Clutch Powers, the LEGO super hero was being shown!
We spent about 3 hours at the event and we all really enjoyed our visit.
