I recently received 3 different flavoured Schwartz 2in1 recipe mixes and couldn’t wait to start using them.

Schwartz 2-1 Roast Chicken and Garlic & Herb Potatoes
A handy little 2 part packet with simple instructions on the reverse transforms into a yummy dinner. All that’s required is a whole chicken, potatoes and some vegetable oil.

The chicken part involved simply mixing the contents of the packet with a small amount of oil and brushing it onto a whole chicken, covering a foil and popping into the oven. Easy!

The potatoes were also pretty easy, and after par boiling them just needed the contents of the packet sprinkling over before popping them into a roasting tray.

The result? A very yummy roast chicken, that was full of flavour. I was very impressed! Best roast chicken I've had in a long time and will definitely be doing it again! The coating seemed to merge with the rest of the dinner and gravy and therefore the whole plate of food took on the yummy flavours.

The potatoes were also pretty nice but I can't say I noticed much flavour and they tasted much like my usual roast potatoes that have nothing on?

All in all, I would definitely get this again, and would use it on packs of chicken breasts/thighs too (as suggested on the pack) for an easier midweek meal, however if the potato part was sold separately I wouldn't feel the need to buy it again as the flavours were barely noticeable.

I give this a 4 out of 5 and would recommend it to friends and family.

Schwartz 2-in-1 Chicken Tikka and Raita Dip
A handy little 2 part packet with simple instructions on the reverse transforms into a yummy dinner.

As well as the packet mix, it requires a pack of chicken breasts, olive oil, lemon juice, red onion, cucumber and natural yogurt. Most of which I already owned but quite a few 'add-on' ingredients in my opinion.

It was fairly easy to make. I tried the bbq version and skewered my chicken tikka pieces before grilling them on the bbq. Meanwhile made up the Raita dip, and made some rice and onion bhajis to go alongside it.

Other than the chicken sticking to the bbq slightly (think it was the fault of the yogurt) it cooked really quickly and smelt lovely!

The chicken tikka part was full of flavour and really tasty and went amazingly with the raita dip which I really enjoyed.

Overall I would definitely recommend this to family and friends and would buy it again. Especially if I was having a bbq, as I think the chicken tikka skewers and dip would go down really well.

Schwartz 2-in-1 Garlic & Herb Chicken with Cheese and Chive dip.
A handy little 2 part packet with simple instructions on the reverse transforms into a yummy dinner.

As well as the packet mix, it requires a pack of chicken breasts, 1 egg, natural yogurt, low fat mayo and cheese. Most of which I had already in the fridge.

It was pretty easy to prepare, the chicken just needed to be coated in egg and dipped in the coating provided and baked in the oven. The dip involved the simple task of mixing yogurt, mayo, cheese and the packet mix together.

The chicken tasted really nice, quite a subtle taste, so great for people who may not be a fan of spice but would like something a bit different from plain chicken. My favourite part of the meal was the cheese and chive dip. It was really yummy and complemented the chicken so well!

Overall I'd eat this again and would recommend it, more so for the dip than the chicken itself.
